Cartea „Puterea ta interioara. Preia controlul asupra vietii tale” cuprinde în sapte capitole diverse situatii de viata si ipostaze în care ne regasim cu totii la un moment dat din viata noastra. Fie pentru ca nu ne cunoastem suficient de bine, pentru ca nu ne dam voie sa visam si sa „zburam”, pentru ca tinem cont mult prea mult de ce îsi doresc altii si mult prea putin de ce ne dorim noi, sau fie pentru ca înca nu stim cum sa ne accesam resurele si puterea interioara, putem face alegeri care sa nu fie în acord cu autenticitatea noastra, cu dorintele noastre reale si cu misiunea noastra personala. Aceste alegeri ne pot îndeparta de calea noastra si putem ajunge sa experimentam foarte frecvent sentimente negative precum tristete, anxietate, depresie, lipsa de sens, gol interior ori chiar boli fizice.

Scopul acestei carti nu este sa îti ofere solutii magice în sapte pasi ci sa te ajute sa îti constientizezi si sa îti accesezi puterea interioara, folosind-o cat mai întelept cu putinta; sa privesti problemele cu care te confrunti din mai multe unghiuri de vedere sau, pur si simplu, pentru un moment, dintr-o alta perspectiva pentru a-ti da voie sa observi cai alternative, mai simple, de solutionare.

În urma experientei mele ca psihoterapeut si life-coach am observat care sunt situatiile problematice si blocajele cel mai des întalnite în viata unui om si am hotarat sa tratez aceste situatii în cele sapte capitole ale acestei carti:

Îmbratiseaza viata si schimbarea

Respecta-i pe cei din jur

Alege întelept oamenii cu care te înconjori

Stiu ca orice om are în interiorul sau toate resursele necesare pentru a face fata dificultatilor vietii, tot ceea ce trebuie sa faca este sa îsi regaseasca calea spre sine, sa îsi redobandeasca puterea interioara si sa îsi ia viata în propriile maini adoptand o gandire sanatoasa, rationala si constructiva.

Selfish hero - poor writing

This was one of the more selfish and juvenile heroes I've ever read. He was hot and cold, broke into the heroines house when she (very understandably) didn't want to see him but when he didn't want to see her he insulted her deeply. He was a bully and even if he claimed he loved how strong she was, he never allowed her to be herself. Always complaining if he didn't get things exactly his way. What a whiner.

If that was not enough - the writing was awful. Often sentences meant the opposite of what I think the author must have meant. But these things happen when you don't know the difference between forgetful and forgetable. Or new and knew. Or your and you're. English is my third language and even I could see how badly this was written.

Not a book I would recommend even if it was refreshing having a heroine who forgot the one-night-stand she'd had two years prior.

Received this book for an honest review.

When Cato finds a beautiful woman in Times Square on New Year's Eve he has the most memorable night of his life. When he wakes up the next morning his life will never be the same. Instead of finding the beautiful woman, he finds a note signed -K- Cato doesn't know anything about this woman other than she lives in California. No Name...Nothing to help him find her.

Two years later when Cato takes on a client named Katarina he can't believe who sits right across the table from him. His one-night stand from New Year's Eve. The one woman that changed his life. Cato has never believed in fate.....until that moment.

One downfall.....she doesn't remember Cato.

She wants to hire Cato as her boyfriend because her parents are pushing her to marry their friends' son, Joey, whom is a dear friend to Kat but she doesn't want a relationship with him. Her parents own a winery and Joey's parents own a shipping company. If the two of them were to get married it would be a great business decision.

Cato doesn't know what to think. He can't believe that she doesn't remember a thing from their night together. He has thought of the passion that they shared for two years and now that she is in his life again he is determined to not let her get away again.

Katarina has changed from the fun loving girl that Cato remembers to a serious almost sad person. Cato wants to prove that she is fun loving and carefree when she allows herself to be.

Will Cato convince Katarina to give him a real shot at Love or will the secret she is hiding destroy them ?

Refreshing new story but pace is still to fast

In the third book of the series we follow Cato and Katrina who have a one night stand and then meet up 2 years later and see that it meant more to Cato then Katrina.

Cato is the player who has a string of one night stands and is the guy who leaves in the middle of the night so when someone does it to him, it does hit his ego. It understandable that he would be frustrated that she doesn't remember him no matter what he did and I liked how he spent the time to fall for her again and make her fall for him despite her reservations.

Katrina has had to deal with a loss that unfortunately a lot of people go through and I liked how closed off she was to giving love a second chance. I know if it were me I would be hesitant to jump back on the saddle so to speak. But as she falls for Cato, she deals with that struggle with guilt that most people do when moving on.

It was refreshing for the relationship between Cato and Katrina because it wasn't like the last two books but the explanation for why Katrina didn't remember him was a little weak. It didn't really make sense and didn't seem fully believable.

I found Joey's character rather annoying but I think that was the point. I don't think Todd wanted us rooting for Joey in any regard, even if it was out of pity.

I liked that the characters had different issues they needed to work through but there were some grammatical errors that took from the story. The was again a little to fast but it was not enough to not make me not want to read it.

Joseph W. Weiss is professor of management at Bentley University, where he has received an Innovation in Teaching award. He is on the honor roll of the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society and is a Fulbright Program Specialist, past chair of the Academy of Management’s Management Consulting Division, and current cochair of the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences IT/Project Management track. Healed from a Broken Heart

I wanted to make amends to God for filing the annulment before I had fully allowed Him a chance to work in the marriage. Now, I'm satisfied I did all I could do. God knows this. This book guided me though the process, taught me to fight spiritually, and rely on God. I learned patience, forgiveness, and how to wait on God. My ex didn't come back, but that was a blessing. The miracle was him pocket dialing me and me hearing a conversation that clarified everything. I feel so free! I thought if I "failed" that I would die. I now realize that I didn't fail at all! I learned to took to God in probably the most difficult situation of my life. The book allowed me to stay with the process and really experience Him working though the situation. Not only did this process heal my heartache, what was revealed to me healed my heartache from the abuse that occurred during the marriage. I am grateful I tried. I learned so much, and now I can move ahead freely. Thanks to God!

Excellent resource to help cognitively impaired loved ones engage in conversation; especially, during those quiet moments when there's nothing to say.
As a Toastmaster, I also used these cards for Table Topics. (See photo.)

They are faculty members for the Kodály Certification Program at Texas State University.

This amazing resource is one reason there should no longer be ...

This amazing resource is one reason there should no longer be any more subpar music education. The amount of research and testing/piloting that went into this entire series is incredible. For a novice teacher, it serves as a guide to creating lessons and structuring units and curriculum throughout a K-5 school. For a more seasoned teacher, it may take what you've been doing and organize it into a clearer, succinct package - or maybe it's completely different from what you've been doing. Either way, it works. I've seen the magic of Kodaly in an upper-middle class suburban area and I've seen it in highly urban areas. The curriculum is highly adaptable to your specific teaching situation, with lots of suggestions for repertoire and activities to create a sequential course of study. The research and sources are cited if you want to delve deeper yourself, but Houlahan and Tacka have done an amazing job organizing it into an easily digestible, interesting format. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who currently or plans to ever teach music.

An immensely thorough work based on a genius teaching philosopher. The new technological discussions and links to websites make this even more user friendly. Why our music education in so many schools is watered down and hit and miss is a shame! The amount of critical thinking skills being foregone is unbearable! It does add to the reason why music and the arts and (gym) can be relegated as inferior subjects....because some educators are not truly using the real deal!

This is a great book for elementary music teachers. The authors challenge music teachers to rethink curriculum and lesson planning. If you are looking to raise student test scores in music, this is the book to read.

No Good

I don't think the authors have any idea who their audience is. Their goal with this book is a mystery to me. This book misses hundreds of educational opportunities in several areas. Mainly, a description of the abnormalities, using anatomical terms, is to me a blatant omission. In head and neck radiology, anatomy is crucial and complex, and the vast majority of cases in this book DO NOT INCLUDE A DESCRIPTION OF THE FINDINGS. Moreover, the follow-up questions don't seem relevant to anyone, including radiology residents, neuroradiology fellows, or neuroradiology staff. This book seems like it was written by an academic ENT physician, who lost his research funding, hated patients, and decided to dabble in head and neck imaging. The authors of this edition are capable of better work, and I look forward to the next edition. Stay away from this one, though.

Nice collections of cases, great quality pics and good discussion about each disease. But it misses DDx and findings discussion (ok, dr. Yousem has it in a pdf file on his website, but this is not practical). I recommend the case review authors to give a look at Mayo Clinic GI Imaging and Dr. Chew's MSK Teaching Files which are better case books (ok, they're more expensive, but are also more useful).

DONT GET THIS BOOK FOR ORAL BOARDS

This is not a good book for the oral boards. How many cases of sinonasal cancer, thyroid cancer, and hibernomas are on the boards? Maybe this is a good review for a neuroradiology fellow but its way too in depth for a radiology resident. And I did not think the pictures were that good or classic. The same goes for the spine case review. just stick with the brain case review which is excellent.
